NOX is a small candle studio off the Los Angeles river. We pour eight blends, cure them for fourteen days, and ship them flat.
How we make a candle
Three rules, kept simple.
Slow wax
Soy-coconut blend, poured at low temp so the oils stay in the wax — not in the air.
High load
Twelve percent fragrance load — high enough to throw across a room, low enough to burn clean.
Long cure
Fourteen days of cure before a single candle leaves the studio. No exceptions.
Where this started
NOX started as a private hobby — a candle for a friend's dinner party, then another, then a hundred. By 2024 we'd moved out of the kitchen and into a small warehouse on the east side.
We never set out to make a hundred scents. Eight is enough. Eight is all we want to be good at.
